The User Experience Researcher role within our organization is pivotal to our mission of revolutionizing data utilization in pharmaceutical research and development. Our team, dedicated to the Onyx Research Data Platform, is committed to leveraging data, knowledge, and prediction to drive innovation in medicine. We are a dynamic and collaborative group encompassing various domains, including product management, data engineering, AI/ML, and analysis platforms, all aimed at enhancing user productivity and predictive capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive user research plans aligned with Onyx product strategies.
Execute user research studies effectively, engaging stakeholders in scientific dialogues to better understand user needs.
Design and implement various user research methodologies, such as interviews, concept testing, and usability testing.
Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancement initiatives.
Create persona maps, user journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate research findings effectively.
Understand current scientific workflows and identify relevant use cases.
Collaborate with product managers to translate user insights into actionable product requirements.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in pharma tech and user experience research, sharing knowledge with the team.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, data science, informatics, biology, or related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of experience.
Proficiency in a wide range of user research methodologies and techniques, including quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or digital healthcare industries.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data.
Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Tableau.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Foundation in biology preferred, including understanding concepts such as target discovery, NGS, small molecule discovery, and large molecule discovery.
