Underwriter

Position Overview: The Underwriter will be responsible for the underwriting of insurance policies involving General Liability and Excess Liability coverage. The Underwriter will be in charge of evaluating risk factors to determine coverage and pricing for each policy.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate applications for new and renewal policies for General Liability and Excess Liability coverage Determine and execute appropriate coverage quoting/binding for each policy Analyze and assess risk factors related to each policy Monitor and track policy changes and renewals Build and Maintain relationships with agents and brokers Keep up to date with industry trends and changes Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred Strong understanding of General Liability and Excess Liability insurance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong organizational and time management skills 3+ years underwriting experience in retail or wholesale insurance  Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401K + matching  Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
