Ultrasound Technologist, Per Diem - Ocw Ultrasound

Salary Range:

$41.2200 - $63.3700 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

This position supports our Women's Clinic performing only OB and Gynecology Ultrasounds.

Under the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director, the Ultrasound Technologist I demonstrates competency and proficiency in all skills required to perform level I routine ultrasound procedures as defined by department protocols.
All technologists utilize independent judgment and the required knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images.
The technologist competently evaluates the technical quality of the images obtained prior to submitting them to the interpreting radiologist.
They educate the patient/family about the procedure and report all changes in the patient's status, including initiating emergency response if required.
They accurately document patient information in the appropriate hospital systems.
Hospital-based positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital-adjacent imaging center locations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Associate's degree or higher.
Graduate of an ARDMS-approved ultrasound program.
A minimum of 2 years experience working within obstetrics or maternal fetal medicine

Certifications Required
BLS
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered in one or more specialties
