Volt is immediately hiring off-shift Ultrasonic NDT Technicians to work onsite for a local leading organization in Decatur, IL. This position is an off-shift, working either 2nd or 3rd shift with occasional overtime. No relocation assistance is available, candidates out of state must be able to relocate at their own expense.
As an Ultrasonic NDT Technician you will: Work as part of a team that provides machine fabrication inspections on various products produced by customer. Perform UT Shearwave, Magnetic Particle, Radiography, Visual testing as required by job role. UT Shearwave, Magnetic Particle, and Visual testing performed on welded assemblies. Computed Radiography on Casting and non-welded components. Interpret Inspection documentation and Standard work and create reports/ documentation of inspection. The technician is based in a production factory building. Follow facility safety guidelines while performing work. Ultrasonic NDT Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration: Individuals must have a HS diploma or GED; an Associate degree or technical certification in Nondestructive Testing Methods is highly preferred. Good communication, teamwork skills, and the ability to support a high velocity manufacturing environment are critical. Ability to self-manage time and responsibilities on off shift. Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements. Experience with the following is a plus: Ultrasonic Testing Magnetic Particle Visual Testing Radiographic Testing (Industrial Radiographer State Card) Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Quality Control Manufacturing or machining experience. Pay Rate: Between $26.00 to $30.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
