Job Description SummaryThe Turbine Aerodynamics Engineer will report to the Turbine Aerodynamics Manager and be responsible for designing GE Aviation's next generation of turbine components and associated technologies.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesComplete aerodynamic design and analysis of high- and low-pressure turbine componentsDevelop advanced aerodynamic technology to improve engine performance and durabilityAnalyze component and engine test data to validate aerodynamic designsCultivate advanced skills in aerodynamic design, including use of cutting-edge numerical and experimental techniquesDevelop analytical tools/software to improve aerodynamic design and predictive capabilitiesFormulate and execute plans to achieve technical and program requirementsDevelop lean processes to improve organizational productivity and efficiencyQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or universityDesired CharacteristicsAny relevant turbomachinery aerodynamic design experienceORMaster's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering relevant to turbomachinery aerodynamicsKnowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and/or aerodynamic testing techniquesInterest in being a self-starter, utilizing innovative problem solving to drive solutions on complex issuesFlexible, friendly, and inclusive; comfortable working in multi-disciplinary global teamsProven group facilitation and collaboration skillsExceptional communication skillsHighly motivated and passionateKeen listener and innately driven to succeedThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
