Hospitality Furniture Solutions is looking for an experienced and resourceful Traveling Furniture Lead Technician to provide exceptional value and join our team.
Your Role: The company is legally located in San Diego, California. However, we are looking for people from all over the country to join our team and help us expand to the East Coast. As a Traveling Lead Furniture Technician, your primary role is to efficiently and effectively handle a wide range of furniture issues that may arise during a new development or renovation.
Overview Responsibilities: This is a traveling position. Must be able to travel nationally more than 4 times a week. Working hands-on with top industry brands. Conduct detailed quality control assessments post-production. Execute skilled repairs and carpentry work.  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and fulfill their vision. Independently manage projects, showcasing your problem-solving skills and craftsmanship. Responsibilities on the Jobsite: Diagnose and repair furniture defects, such as loose joints, faulty hardware, veneer/edge banding separation, and poor finishes. Repair and Refinish damaged furniture finishes to their original condition using products from Mohawk Finishing Products. Assemble and install new furniture. Travel to various locations locally or nationwide. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for furniture repairs. Communicate with customers regarding game plans, progress, and completion. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring customer satisfaction. Utilize basic carpentry skills to cut radiuses in wood, cutouts, cut panels, reconstruct joints, and secure casegoods and panels to walls. Knowledge of basic software programs such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive is required. The candidate will be responsible for writing reports to clients and reporting their daily progress on the project to the project manager. Read shop drawings and floor plans. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of experience in furniture repair.  Experience with Mohawk finishing products. Ability to work with hand and power tools. Knowledge of various furniture materials and finishes. Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (it's a plus). Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours. Experience traveling for work is required. Knowledge of basic software, such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive. Ability to read shop drawings and floor plans. Must be willing to travel nationwide, Canada, and the Caribbean.
