Responsibilities
• Perform advanced level operator functions with minimal supervision• Operate computer-based traffic management systems• Monitor roadways via CCTV surveillance cameras and detection systems• Maintain knowledge on traffic equipment and software• Utilize traffic equipment for incident management and improving travel time• Check accuracy of messages displayed on all DMS and 511• Enter incident information into computer systems• Coordinate resources for incidents with partners and adjacent centers• Dispatch Service Patrols and assist with tasks• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Candidate must be local to Memphis• Complete minimum verification requirements• Experience operating computers• Good communication skills
Key Skills Needed
• 2 years of experience as TMC Technician II level or directly comparable experience• IMSA Level III Technician and Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (IMOT) Certification Preferred• Verbal Communication
