Responsibilities
• Performing functions with supervision and established procedures• Operating computer-based traffic management systems• Monitoring roadways via CCTV surveillance cameras and detection systems• Maintaining knowledge on operation of traffic equipment and software• Utilizing traffic equipment for incident management and improvement of travel time• Checking accuracy and validity of messages on DMS and 511• Entering incident information into computer systems• Coordinating with partners and dispatching service patrols• Becoming familiar with roadways and traffic devices• Performing other assigned duties
Requirements
• Candidate must be local• Must complete background verification checks• Minimum of 2 years experience as TMC Technician II or equivalent• IMSA Level III Technician and IMOT Certification preferred• Good verbal communication skills• Clear communication over radio and dispatch experience
Key Skills Needed
• 2 years of experience as TMC Technician II level or directly comparable experience• IMSA Level III Technician and Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (IMOT) Certification Preferred• Good communication skills oral, in writing, reports, clear communication over radio, dispatch experience
