DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Workleader,incumbent creates domestic export shipments and provides customer service in a high performance work environment. Responsible for administration in various areas responsibility for entering SAP data. Creates delivery schedules for inbound shipments. Act as third party liaison for outside vendors. Generate daily/ monthly reports. The incumbent will perform general warehousing duties, which will include, but are not limited to, unloading and storing incoming materials, picking/shuttling/staging for production, unloading, storing, picking/staging, and shipping, finished goods materials. Additional duties will include material labeling, stretch wrapping, periodic inventory counting, general warehouse/dock sanitation, and other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Acceptable attendance required. (Attendance will be reviewed over the last three years - performance review scores and trends).
3. Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review.
4. Minimum one year Warehouse, Transportation or Distribution environment required.
5. Forklift license is required. Experience operating a stand-up forklift, preferred.
6. Experience with MS Word and Excel required. SAP experience preferred.
7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, required.
8. Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, required.
9. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, vendors, clients, and other employees, required.
10. Ability to effectively communicate written and orally with all levels of the organization, as well as internal and external customers, required.
11. Ability to apply common sense while performing standard warehouse tasks is required.
12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to function effectively as part of a team, required.
13. Ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt to an environment with multiple tasks and changing priorities, required.
14. Ability to use critical thinking skills to identify improvement opportunities and provide potential solutions, required.
15. Ability to work overtime on short notice with flexibility in start times and work days, required.
16. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, required.
