Pay rate: $13.50 hourly
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, some weekends will be required
Responsibilities / Required Skills:
Responsible for providing professional support to the Director of Information Support Services and to the Admission Office Coordinator. Reviews, compiles, and prepares operational records and reports for Medical Records and Admissions Office
Responsible for performing transcription, reviewing, and developing procedural adjustments on reports including discharge summaries, diagnostic staff notes, admission histories, progress notes, outgoing letters, psychiatric evaluations, and treatment plans.
· Responsible for reading, interpreting, and assigning diagnostic codes to physician diction utilizing the most current version of the International Statistical Classification of Disease coding.
· Interviews patients upon arrival to facility. Created ad completes all data entry associated with the medical record for patients. Assist physician with the admission process. Interacts with staff from other facilities and with legal authorities.
· Provides relief for the switchboard ad needed including monitoring the file panel for alarms, answering, and directing phone calls for the entire campus, calling emergency codes, and maintaining patient information.
· Must have excellent communications skills.
· Must be a self-starter with good organization skills.
Work in a team environment.
Must be able to efficiently operate all office equipment.
Maintain confidential information.
Additional Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Minimum 1 year of administrative or business experience required
Must be prompt and professional.
