Aerotek is hiring IMMEDIATELY for TIG Welders in Sussex County, DE. This position is a contract-to-hire and offers full benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision & more!)
: TIG Welders will be performing welds primarily on sheet metal & stainless steel. Welders are responsible for set-up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams, and fixtures following welding procedures.
-Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease or other foreign matter
- Cut & deburr metal components
- Perform quality tests on welds ensuring they are in spec/free of error with requirements of customer
Additional Skills & Qualifications: - 1-2 years' experience TIG welding
- Tech School Graduate with focus in Welding
- Ability to read welding blueprints/understand weld symbols
- Experience Welding on Sheet Metal/Cutting Metal
- Ability to read tape measure to 1/16th of an inch
Shift: Day Shift; Candidates will work OT regularly and must be available to work every weekend.
