Responsibilities
• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries• Practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership• Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions• Learns all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends• Operates all equipment, software, and devices expertly and teaches others• Maintains a clean and safe working environment• Operates office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and calculators• Manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to ensure positive experience• May open/close the store and perform end-of-day accounting• Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes and cushioning contents• Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required• Retail/customer service experience• Good communication and people skills• Outstanding phone skills• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Prompt, reliable, and responsible• Able to lift 40+ pounds• Able to stand for an extended period• Must be willing and eligible to be an Oregon Notary Public• Willing and able to work a very flexible, part-time schedule• Availability to work full time in the future
