Testing Coordinator Location: Moscow Division/College: Student Affairs Employee Category: Classified Pay Range: $22.00 per hour or higher depending on education and experience FTE: 1 Full/Part Time: Full Time Position Summary:
The Testing Coordinator reports directly to the Center for Disability Access and Resources (CDAR) and plays an integral role in the University's ability to provide reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the department's testing accommodations for students with disabilities at all University of Idaho campuses and outreach programs. This includes hiring, training, supervising, and coordinating student/temporary employees to provide testing accommodation services; Scheduling readers/scribes; advocating on behalf of students regarding testing accommodations; and working directly with instructors to coordinate these accommodations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Medical, Adult, Organizational Leadership, Learning Development and Family Student, Communication, Family and Consumer Science; four additional years of experience (for a total of six) may substitute for a Bachelor's DegreeTwo years working with students with disabilitiesSupervisory experienceExperience with ADA and Section 504 requirementsUsing computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet researchExperience analyzing and organizing informationWorking with and using assistive technology Preferred Qualifications: Master's DegreeExperience in a student disability office at a post-secondary institutionAbility to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situationsDemonstrated excellence in customer servicesExperience using interpersonal skillsKnowledgeable of the University of Idaho policies/procedures, academic support services, and other campus resourcesExperience providing accommodations in a post-secondary setting using an information management systemExcellent written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to exercise critical thinking and sound judgmentAbility to initiate, coordinate, oversee, and complete various projects in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: None
