Job Title: Test & Evaluation EngineerPay Rate: Up to $48.90/hr DOELocation: Manassas, VIZip Code: 20110Start Date: Right AwayJob Type: ContractKeywords: #TestEvaluationEngineer #VerificationEngineeringJobs***Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.***JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Crafting comprehensive test procedures.Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.Reporting to a manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.Some travel required (in support of test events in government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field.5+ years of job-related experience, ORMaster's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.Proficiency in software testing and analysis.5-10 years of experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10 or Submarine Weapon LaunchersProficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of timeIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
