Job Summary: Maintenance Technicians in automotive parts manufacturing companies are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Shift - Night (6pm-6am)
Job Responsibilities: Preventive maintenance: perform regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This involves following maintenance schedules and conducting routine checks on various components. Troubleshooting and repair: diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical failures to identify the root cause of the problem. They then carry out repairs or replacements of defective parts, such as motors, sensors, valves, belts, and bearings, to restore functionality. Equipment installation and commissioning: They assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new machinery and production lines. This may involve assembling equipment, connecting electrical and mechanical components, and ensuring proper alignment and calibration before production begins. Responding to breakdowns: are on call to respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies that occur during production. They must work quickly and efficiently to troubleshoot issues, implement temporary fixes if necessary, and restore operations to minimize downtime. Safety inspections and compliance: conduct safety inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. This includes checking for worn-out parts, loose connections, and malfunctioning safety features. Documentation and reporting: maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment manuals. They also report any significant issues, maintenance trends, or recommendations for improvements to management. Continuous improvement: participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity. This may involve implementing new maintenance strategies, upgrading equipment, or proposing process improvements to optimize plant operations. Job Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent: Most automotive parts manufacturing companies require candidates for Maintenance Technician positions to have a high school diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement. Technical Education : While not always mandatory, many employers prefer candidates with additional technical education or training in fields related to maintenance and repair. This could include: Technical Diploma or certificate program in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical trades from a vocational school or community college may also be sufficient for entry-level positions. Work Experience: Experience in maintenance, repair, or related fields would be preferred. Technical Skills: Candidates should possess basic technical skills related to maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques is essential for success in maintenance technician roles. Why ABC?
