The Corporate Headquarters are located in Grantsville, MD with several offices throughout the country. The general role of a Technician I – Electronic Security and Safety is to respond to first level support of service requests and field installation such as troubleshooting and repairing cabling systems and equipment. This will include electronic security, access control, and fire alarm systems along with other related electrical systems.

This position must be flexible and willing to travel with occasional overnight stays and work extended hours as needed. The Technician I will report to the Project Manager – Electronic Security and Safety and will work primarily out of their assigned location.

No experience necessary Demonstrated interest or experience in electronic security solutions preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to recognize colors Basic low voltage knowledge preferred Ability to read blueprints desired Ability to use a variety of basic hand and power tools Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers and customers Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude Possess a basic working knowledge of personal computers Ability to work independently and with co-workers Working Conditions Walk / use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel Sit/stand for extended periods of time Lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds Perform duties on-site at industrial and commercial locations Perform work at heights and underground Perform duties outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Additional Eligibility Qualifications This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
