Full job description We are looking for a hands-on technical writer to join our team on a full-time basis! You will be taking apart products and putting them back together to create instruction manuals that are simple and straight forward. There will be technical writing training provided.
Responsibilities: Create and write various types of user documentation Including how-to guides, manuals, references, and instructions Meet with customer representatives to understand required content Write operation, repair, and troubleshooting or test procedures as required Write technical content for a variety of clients using a minimalist writing style Utilize a variety of content development tools Determine good graphical representation to support text Work with illustrators to develop technical illustrations Disassemble and assemble equipment Skills: Technical Writer Blueprints Schematics Electrical Hydraulics Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of electrical/hydraulic experience Minimum 3 years of experience working with off road equipment, automotive, or similar industry -troubleshooting Minimum 3 years of experience taking apart and putting back together automotive or similar equipment Repair experience with machinery or powered equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronics, and pneumatic systems) Proficient math skills including ability to compute averages and percentages. Must be able to convert all units of measure.
