General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Technical Support Team Lead with strong experience who holds active DOD Secret clearance. Site location: greater Salt Lake City, Utah area
The Team Leader provides onsite support to customers, team members, IT End User support staff, and other stakeholders of a complex enterprise IT system. As the primary onsite point of customer contact, responds and follows-up on internal and external customer support problems and service requests. Assists developing and implementing plans for migration and deployment activities. Possesses a deep understanding of the system and its interactions with external systems and involvement with enterprise business processes. Documents critical processes and provides training and guidance to junior staff. Performs troubleshooting and works with various groups to resolve issues. Applies problem analysis and solving skills critical in identifying, resolving, or escalating issues. Uses the IT ticket system and is responsible for receiving and tracking the trouble tickets, resources for action and ensures that their tickets are resolved and closed out with the customer and in the system. Develop and retort critical metrics to senior leadership.
In short, the Team Leader will help to drive:
Increased velocity for onsite deployments
Improved understanding of system status
Improved compliance posture
Refined process documentation
Improved customer coordination
Support Team span of control includes but not limited to: Account Maintenance (escalation)
End User software installation and support (desktops and workspaces)
Middleware support on servers
Security Group maintenance
Instance deployment and bootstrapping
Terraform, Ansible playbook execution
Security compliance evaluation, triage, resolution, and dissemination
Develop and execute onsite monitoring checklist and tools
Patching success/fail/shepherding
Mission Application availability
Service availability
SSO health
DTaaS
Product deployment support for execution teams
IAC Execution
Well described process documentation
KMS documentation (PPI)
Structure/data
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, preferably in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Significant experience managing enterprise-level systems development
Security Clearance Level: Secret / Top Secret eligible
Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand high-risk, high-impact, large-scale, complex systems; excellent communication and organizational skills, experience with large-scale infrastructure deployments, software development, and O&M activities
Preferred Qualifications: Experienced team leadership
Professional demeanor with customer interaction
Organizational Skill
Travel: as travel will be required to a facility where classified data can be accessed
