Summary of Duties:
Supervises the activities of employees by providing work assignments, performance expectations and feedback on a regular basisAssures that quality work is performed in an efficient mannerPerforms other administrative duties required for normal functions of the group and management of workload and resources to support engineering projects Ensures conformance to terms of the collective bargaining agreement where applicableAssures the calibration laboratory facilities are maintained and upgraded or altered when required and that all quality policies and standards are metMaintains a business relationship with vendors, suppliers, and other outside customer sources, as well as all engineering and internal customers requesting services or supportIdentifies equipment needs and prepares budget forecastsManages the fabrication, prove-in, calibration, maintenance, and modification of electronic acceptance test equipment, including calibration and maintenance of reference standards, transfer standards, capital equipment, standard gages and inspections of special design toolsPrepares metric data/reports for management reviews and recommends improvement of processes which affect the cycle time and quality of operationsDirectly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problemsConducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environmentTakes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor€™s Degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate Degree and 3 years of experience, or HS diploma/certification and 4 years of experienceWE VALUE Ability to work 2nd shiftExperience in supervising complex projects with multiple stack holdersExperience in general business operationsCombination of formal education and experience in an applicable field, such as businessDemonstrated oral and written communications skills; ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customersDemonstrated skills in organization and problem solving. Microsoft Office applications experience; sound understanding and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)FMT2021
