This role will work closely with the technology organization for product development and interface with the commercial team to define customer-driven opportunities. The role requires high initiative, problem solving, proactive application of scientific principles & experimental design, good project management skills and the ability to work successfully in varying environments and responsibilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate closely with customers and across internal functions are essential. A passion for technology and the high affinity to understanding customer needs and application requirements are important.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnable business growth through new technology development, product qualification and customer support.Collaborate with customer and sales teams to understand and interpret customer needs into a product definition.Partner with a cross-functional team environment comprising commercial, manufacturing, product stewardship and supply chain team members to develop and commercialize new products. Apply project management and new product introduction methodologies for product development and customer support; documenting progress in internal reports and external presentations.Provide effective Technical Service (TS) to numerous strategic accounts for the business: responds to technical questions of customers, provide support and solve problems for customers.Apply the scientific method, statistical analysis, and project management tools to help advance product development.Keeps current with developments in relevant area of technology. Serve as an information resource for the project team and stakeholders.Communicate and appropriately document work in the form of internal reports, presentations and patents when appropriate.Understand and follow appropriate AmSty processes, standards, policies, and procedures.
