ThisServer Builds (Windows & Redhat Linux) Technical Project Managerwill be assigned multiple initiatives within the New Server Build space related to Windows and Linux Servers. The work efforts are related to all new server installs of Windows & RedHat Linux servers. The need is for the strong project manager to be accountable in ensuring that assigned projects are effectively managed by taking accountability and ownership for the successful delivery of work.Role Responsibilities:Creates, manages, and understands impacts to project scope, constraints and schedule. Manages projects according to work plan. Performs critical path analysisUnderstands and can effectively/quantifiably communicate progress against tasks, milestones, and blockers of each project in the portfolioCoordinates across multiple projects that are aligned with the strategic direction of the departmentIdentifies and manages project and program interdependenciesCreates performance and status reports for relevant stakeholdersDevelops and manages project risk and issue management plans. Analyzes risks by probability and severity to assess their impact on project delivery. Implements procedures to mitigate risk threatsUtilizes available tools for identifying and tracking issues such as the Delivery Risk Assessment, risk workshops, and clarityUses client project management tools and methodologies to deliverDevelops project organization chart and governance structures. Defines roles and responsibilities of team membersDefines processes and standards around governance, communication, and quality. Develops deliverable acceptance plans and criteriaIdentifies and develops strategy for changes in scope, schedule, and cost. Develops strategic rationale for change including costs, benefits, tradeoffs, etc.Creates transition plan, identifies lessons learned, and applies the lessons learned to future projectsEstablish program objectives; develop requirements, plan schedules and estimate costBalance stakeholder needs and effectively negotiate tradeoffs between scope, schedule, and budgetBalance needs of multiple stakeholders and gains buy-in from groups who may be resistant to changeBasic Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a technical project manager, utilizing project management methodologies and disciplines, best practices, and artifacts in both Waterfall and Agile environmentsMust have technical experience supporting projects related to New Server Rebuilds, specifically Windows Server Builds AMD RedHat Linux Server BuildsMust have experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePointMust have experience using Agile project management tools (e.g. Rally, Jira, MS ADS etc.)Ability to travel occasionally according to meet client demandsBachelor's degree is required (Degree preferable in a technology or related field)Highly Preferred Skills:Technical consulting experience highly preferredBanking or FSI industry experience preferredPMP/CAPM Certification
