Peraton is seeking a motivated Technical Editor to join our team at our Landover, MD office. Our program provides full life cycle support for a large Information Technology (IT) system for the Department of Defense (DoD). This program delivers full life-cycle engineering support for all system elements including Development (hardware, software and networks), Systems and Security Engineering (Integration, testing and Deployment), Sustainment (Logistics, and field support), Network Operations Center (NOC)/Help Desk, and Government user training support for user community. The Technical Editor will be responsible for but not limited to:
Edit documents to ensure compliance with style, design, layout, specification, and grammar and spelling requirements. Edit, format, and maintain documents including, but not limited to program plans, system test reports, procedures, design documentation, requirements, user manuals, training materials, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports. Collaborate with authors, assigned stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain better understanding of subject matter. Conduct quality review of materials and provide peer review of program documents. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. **This role is required to provide support, onsite, Mon-Fri**

Required Qualifications: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related+ discipline and two (2) years of relevant experience, or Masters Degree and no years of experience, or High-school Diploma/GED and eight (8+) years of relevant experience Must have at-least two (2) years experience in MS Office Suite with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Skills must include ability to create and modify styles, forms, and templates Must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, be proactive, possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and be self-motivated Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related+ discipline and four (4) years of relevant experience, or Masters Degree and two (2) years of experience, or Highschool Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience Experience drafting technical documents and SOPS Expert knowledge of MS Office Products Experience working with Jira and Confluence Experience with a version control system Experience with LibreOffice Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
