DMOS has an opportunity for a MRI Tech to join our team and work at our West Des Moines office! This role will be responsible for providing MRI scans per the physician orders. The hours for this position are flexible. PRN hours on weekends would be flexible with commitment for scheduling for day for evening hours on weekends. For example, it could even be Friday nights past 5pm, and does not require every weekend. Two weekends a month is preferred. Do I want to do this job? You will be working on the first level of a medical office. You will work independently. You will conduct scans in an accurate, kind and consistent method when working with patients. You will have team members to lean on in times of assistance. You will gather information accurately and quickly about patients, their history, and situation. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will be responsible to represent DMOS in clinic. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You can schedule in advance for this position or assigned shift and commit to the hours, because, ultimately, we are all here to help patients.
Can I do this job? You must be able to be on your feet and standing for this job. You must be able to help patients on and off a table. You must be steady on your feet. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice and use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic. You are able to be curious in conversations and practice active listening with compassion and empathy because we aren't in that persons shoes.
What does an outstanding MRI Tech have in terms of background? Successful candidates in clinic may have had experience in a medical facility conducting upper and lower extremity MR scans. A certificate in Magnetic Resonance (preferred). An active permit to practice in the state of Iowa required.
