Team Leader, Sewing

Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:45am - 3:15pm) Summary:
The Team Leader is responsible for providing direction to the designated departments within sewing by scheduling and distributing work, while monitoring the quality of work being produced and assisting in the manufacturing process where needed. This person is directly responsible for the quality of products being produced in their designated area, and will be readily available for employees to access for assistance.
Main Duties amp; Responsibilities:
Meet with Sewing Supervisor to discuss daily production needs
Distribute work daily within the department based on current production needs
Check the quality of work being produced and notice any inconsistencies in production process
Ensure that the department is producing at a desirable rate and motivate team members toward reaching production goals
Assist with any and all needs of the department, and monitor technique of team members regularly
Identify and refer any employee performance or other issues to the supervisor or manager. Work with leadership to aid in developing overall skills of each person
Qualification Requirements:
Experience working with sewing in the specific department
Experience setting up sewing machines and adjusting functionality
Must be able to differentiate between various shades and colors
Ability to lead and motivate employees
