Job summary
UW Faculty Teaching Associate, Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantFull-time (100% FTE), Inpatient Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)Anticipated start date is March 1, 2024

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team to provide high quality and safe care• Provide direct patient care to adult Cardiology patients in the inpatient setting• Collaborate with inpatient consultants• Participate in quality improvement projects and process improvement activities• Participate in education, research, and quality initiatives• Provide education and mentorship to team members• Attend weekly Cardiology Grand Rounds and clinical case conferences• Be well versed in UWMC CPOE/EPIC• Follow UWMC Professional Behavior Policy and Procedures• Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
• Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program• Current and valid state Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nursing Licensure• Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA• Highly reliable, flexible provider with proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment• Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise• Basic computer knowledge and command of basic personal computer skills• Advanced Practice Provider training and experience in inpatient cardiology and/or critical care management• ACLS Certification
