Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Teaching Assistant position for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU).


This is a Teaching Assistant position for the remainder of the 2023/2024 academic year (present through June 14th, 2024) and the 2024/2025 academic year (September 25th, 2024 through June 13th, 2025). The successful candidate can expect to:
Monitor online discussion boards Proctor and grade quizzes Help guide students through in-class activities Grade assignments and enter scores in the Canvas Grade Center Identify and help process any academic integrity violations that may occur in the MGMT 364 course during the term The successful candidate will be expected to have good listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. The TA will have access to confidential student data such as Student ID, and date relating to MGMT 364 grades/scores, and hence must have high integrity, work ethics, and must abide by OSU and FERPA rules.

The pay rate will be $15.20 per hour. Position Duties Typically, the job is expected to impose an average load of 5 hours a week during the academic year. There is no set percentage of time for grading, Canvas management, etc. This will change on a weekly basis on a need basis. Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications Applicants must have successfully completed MGMT 364 (Managing Projects) course at Oregon State University with a grade of A- or higher.
