Company Name: Osseo Job Description Job Advertisement: Student Management Specialist We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Management Specialist to join our team. Our Student Management Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between students, teachers, and parents, using restorative practices. They provide support to students, helping them grow and improve their behavior while implementing personalized interventions when needed. The Specialist also collaborates on school-wide systems, structures, and discipline. Above all, they are advocates for our community and firmly believe in the potential of every student.
Job Summary: Supports the principal in managing the middle school program. Serves as a resource for teachers and staff, addressing concerns related to student attendance, development, and discipline. Coordinates with guidance counselors, police liaison officers, school psychologists, and social workers to meet with students and parents, discussing strategies to improve attendance and behavior. Conducts conferences or communicates with families to address student attendance and behavior. Resolves student behavior concerns promptly and fairly, maintaining records of disciplinary actions taken. Maintains a close watch on the school's physical environment, addressing student vandalism as necessary. Provides input on school district programs related to student substance abuse and truancy. Participates in discussions to develop strategies for improving student performance, attendance, and development. Assists in creating and implementing campus control and security practices. Cultivates strong relationships with parents, families, and students. Collaborates in establishing rules for students assigned to in-school suspension/detention. Responds to written and oral communication regarding student development and discipline matters. Attends meetings and serves on committees as directed by the principal. Assumes responsibility when all administrators are absent. Undertakes additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the principal. Qualifications : Educational Requirement: B.A. Degree
Salary: View salary grids in the Management Personnel I-M agreement document.
Work Schedule: Contract length of 200 days.
Bargaining Unit: Management Personnel I-M as the bargaining unit.
