About Us:
We are a progressive school district committed to providing quality education to all students, including those with visual impairments. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Telepractice Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team.
Job Overview:
You will play a vital role in providing specialized education services to students within a K-12 caseload. This is a full-time position with approximately 35 hours per week, and the contract term is through the remainder of the current school year.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing virtual instruction tailored to the individual needs of visually impaired students
Collaborating with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective learning strategies
Utilizing virtual platforms to deliver engaging and interactive lessons
Adhering to the Mississippi state standards for teaching students with visual impairments
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
A Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on visual impairment teaching
Valid Mississippi licensure for teaching the visually impaired
Proficiency in technology and comfort using virtual platforms for instruction
Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
Ability to pass a technical screening and internet speed test
Liability insurance with annual coverage of 500K/500K
Minimum of 2 years of previous school-based experience
Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $42 per hour.
