The Tax Accountant is responsible for all tax-related activities such as preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, preparation of tax projections and other tax-related related activities such as research, analysis, and communication with appropriate authorities. The Tax Accountant will interact with senior-level management, clients and/or external tax consultants regarding tax related issues. The successful candidate will possess strong tax technical knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview: The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing, analyzing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, projections, research, and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review and verify federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, individuals, and corporations. Review financial statements for proper tax disclosures. Review tax-related documents for accuracy and completeness. Research complex tax issues, communicate results with appropriate personnel, and provide tax advice. Assist with tax audits and provide support to external tax consultants. Prepare tax projections and other tax-related reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. At least 3 years of experience in the Tax field. Excellent knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and CCH systems. Strong knowledge of tax law and regulations. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
