Project/Task Manager: Task Order Manager

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Communicating with your team and customer to ensure mission success. Directing and controlling activities for the customer to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interfacing with senior management and negotiating requirements with the sponsor. Making decisions and applying program and technical knowledge to impact project implementation. Oversee and deliver a wide variety of program management activities. Directly engage with government personnel for program risk assessment, mitigation strategies and remediation actions. Assist and mentor team members in Program Management activities. Ability to review system and project requirements, architecture, roadmaps, schedules, risk registers and other program artifacts to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Create meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other meeting documentation.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum five (5) years of experience performing day-to-day project management, possibly involving multiple task orders/projects. Technical leadership/guidance to the project team in performance of the work and reviews the quality of work products. Ability to organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all project support activities and deliverables. Project planning, scheduling, and monitoring Data call management and assessment to include coordination, analysis, tracking, and data gathering. Creation and update of project management plans to include resources, risk management, and other management controls to be employed to meet performance and schedule requirements. Establishment, tracking and reporting project metrics. Conducting project status meetings.
Location: DC metro area preferred but remote applicants considered. Team members living in the DC metro need to travel to client sites in the DC metro area on an ad hoc basis. Remote team members will travel about 1 week per month.
Citizen: Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively. Strong proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Federal Contracting experience supporting large scale financial applications. Certifications: PMP and other Program / Project Management certifications.
