Job summary
Sentinel is looking for a Systems Server Administrator to join our client.This position involves the design, implementation, and optimization of server systems to support the smooth operation of the IT environment.This position is contract to hire with a hybrid schedule blending remote and onsite work at the Farmington Hills, MI location.

Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and optimize server systems• Support the smooth operation of the IT environment• Blend remote and onsite work at the Farmington Hills, MI location• Ensure server hardware and storage systems are functioning properly• Implement security best practices and tools• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field• Proven experience as a Systems Server Administrator or a similar role• In-depth knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix)• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols• Experience with server hardware and storage systems• Knowledge of security best practices and tools• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, etc.) are a plus• Must have a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship• Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
