System One is seeking candidates for this Control Systems Engineer role with an established Tulsa company.  In this role you will work under a licensed PE in designing, modifying, and troubleshooting industrial control systems.
Job Duties Include: Control System Design - Work with engineer and customer to develop schematics for panel construction and field installation. PLC Programming - Typical projects include the following applications: Material Handling Systems   Process Control Systems Motor Control Systems About 2/3 of the work involves modifying existing systems; other 1/3 is on new systems. HMI (Human Machine Interface) Programming  Computer based systems - RSView, etc. Panelview or similar operator interfaces Computer Programming. Some type of computer programming background is preferred.  If a candidate knows the basics of some systems, the company will teach them other systems. (Optional) Database programming and database integration with PLC systems System Start-Up & Check-Out Miscellaneous Service Work PLC troubleshooting General control system troubleshooting AC drive troubleshooting Low Voltage troubleshooting (Fiber and Ethernet systems) Estimating - Design and estimate control system projects. Assist the Engineering manager in preparing estimates. This could involve visiting job sites and estimating labor and material costs. Ordering materials for projects. Additional job duties could include:  Work with SKM PowerTools software in performing: Short circuit studies, Arc Flash Hazard Evaluations, Coordination Studies, Design power distribution systems, design lighting systems Typically about 80% of work is in the office, the other 20% in the field.
Field work includes investigating/verifying existing equipment or plant schematics, collecting information, or assisting in start-up.  Also, field troubleshooting. Will have a set of tools, including multimeter, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. to do troubleshooting. Ability to translate an engineering design into drawings & directions that electricians can use to install the system.
Typical Projects: Conveyor Controls & Field Installation Heater Control Panels & Field Installations Boiler Control Panels & Field Installations Oilfield Skids Analog Devices: Thermocouples, RTD's, Flowmeters, Temperature Transmitters, Motor control systems with AC Drives & Contactors Experience Hands-on experience with electrical work is a big plus. Experience working with equipment in industrial or manufacturing facilities is a plus. Software Experience: AutoCAD (a proficiency or willingness to learn); Microsoft Office: Word, Excel; Database experience: Microsoft Access, SQL (not necessary, but a plus) Programming Experience: PLC Experience - any model useful, Allen Bradley, Siemens, & Modicon preferred.  Allen Bradley - RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000. Experience with another computer programming language for PC's- HTML, PHP, Visual Basic is preferred Education: Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering strongly preferred 
Other skills: Ability to interface well with customers: pre-sales meetings, working with engineering & maintenance staff to collect information Working with engineering & maintenance staff on start-up and check-out of systems. Organized. Keep detailed notes and drawings in the proper job folders. Very minimal travel.  
Typical hours are Mon-Thurs 7:00 to 5:30 and Friday 7:00 to Noon.
