We're seeking aSystems Administratorto join ourProduction Services Reliability Engineering team. This role is in Pittsburgh.In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Troubleshoot complex system-level or application related problemsAssist with infrastructure planning, maintenance and troubleshootingPerform daily/weekly/monthly health checks of the internal and cloud infrastructureKeep enterprise software up to date by proactively reviewing advisories and software end of life reports, and performing routine software updatesReview software vulnerability reports, triage and patch infrastructure vulnerabilitiesParticipate in disaster recovery testingFulfil software installation, uninstall and upgrade requests from application teamsAutomate processes using python, ansible and/or shell scriptingThe successful candidate will be someone who enjoys solving complex system problems and improving systems. This individual should be able to produce precise and accurate work by paying attention to detail. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required4 - 6 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.3-6 years of hands on Systems/Network Support experience with solid technical troubleshooting skillsProficiency in Linux, Virtualization, VMWareExperience with Ansible or other infrastructure automation toolsProficiency in Python and/or Shell scriptingKnowledge of NFS, DNS, and TCP is a strong plusExperience with other DevOps and CI/CD tools is a plusKnowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and/or containers is a plusAt BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
