Job Summary : The Systems Administrator will facilitate, implement, troubleshoot, problem solve and enhance IT's support, systems and operational responsibilities through implementation and maintenance of complex IT computer, network, and telephony systems. Participate in development of policies and procedures related to implementation and maintenance of data and voice communication network systems. Provide technical and administrative support for users and department. Interface with several partners, including yet not limited to, management, employees, school site and district representatives, and vendors.
Essential Job Duties: Configure and maintain networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications Analyze network architecture, integration, and installation (servers, switches, firewalls, surveillance, etc.) Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components when necessary Monitor system performance to ensure smoothly and securely performance Manage Support Desk queues ensure SLAs are being met (Support and Personal) Queues should be reviewed frequently throughout the day Research and recommend new approaches to improve the networked computer system Document any process which employees need to follow to successfully work within the computing system Responsible for user account administration, creation, disablement across org software, systems, and applications Responsible for security protocols (IE: Firewall, Anti-Virus, Email Authentication, Endpoint Protection, Etc.) Administer and Maintain Back-up Disaster Recovery solution Implement Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management Implement new equipment (IE: Workstations, Laptops, Desktops, Printers, etc.) Read technical documents, manuals, and guidelines, and comprehend/follow accordingly Assist IT Manager with projects as needed for the organization Track and manage system growth needs Act as a line of support for the Tier I & II Technicians resolving complex tickets. Serve as an escalation point for Tier I & II Technicians Provide technical support upon request Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Information technology or related field 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to travel to Southern California and Northern California locations Experience working with networking equipment including but not limited to, routers, switches, and firewalls VMWare, Ubiquiti, and Linux knowledge are a plus Excellent Communication, Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, Comprehension, Research and Writing skills Ability to work with customers internal and external while promoting a positive image of the organization OTHER QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates strong Computer Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Demonstrates competency in providing guidance to lower-level Systems Administrators, Help Desk and providing guidance/mentorship Consistently demonstrates teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interests Receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company Proficiency with Server: installation, configuration, backups, restores, and backup verifications Knowledge of Remote Connectivity (RDP), Domain Controllers, Service Installation/Removal, User Roles, Folder Permissions Proficient with Hardware and Software installations Proficiency with Security Protocols; Firewalls, Routers, Anti-Virus, Endpoint Protection Proficiency with Office 365 business line of applications Proficiency with Intune, Azure, O365 Administration is a plus Proficiency in Active Directory; user, object, group, group policy management Background Check Requirements: Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting), provide a clear TB test Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000/yr Think Together is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, religious creed, physical disability, mental disability, age for individuals age 40 and over, medical condition (as defined by state law (for example, cancer or genetic characteristics or HIV/AIDS), marital status, military and veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, citizenship status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
