Swim Team Coach Effective Date: May 29, 2023 GENERAL PURPOSE The Swim Team Coach is responsible for providing instruction and workouts that will prepare participants for their individual needs and swim meets. The position will work directly with the Aquatics Director.  Summer Schedule:
June 4 – July 20, 2023, | Monday-Friday practices from 9:00-10:45 AM | Approximately 8-10 hours per week (depending on the week)
Additional Hours:
Swim meets take place on Tuesday (Ages 8 & under) and Thursday (Ages 9 & over) afternoons/evenings.

 

  REQUIRED SKILLS: Design and plan swim instruction and workouts curriculums for all developmental levels and groups. Provide feedback to participants and parents to facilitate improvement. Enforce aquatic rules and policies by maintaining constant surveillance of class participants. Set up pool and equipment, store equipment, and secure facility upon completion of practice. Attend all practices, swim meets, and staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.  REQUIREMENTS: Must have two (2) years prior experience with competitive swimming or coaching.  Must be proficient in swimming and safety skills.  Must have the ability to motivate and educate participants.  Must obtain the Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
