What You'll Be Doing The Cadmus Group seeks a motivated Research Analyst to join our growing Sustainability and Resilience team. Sustainability and Resilience directly supports government, corporate, and non-profit organizations seeking to achieve climate, energy, and sustainability goals; prepare for all types of disasters; and enhance their overall resilience.
Research Analysts within the Sustainability and Resilience team have varied analytic responsibilities, including research and writing; qualitative and quantitative analysis; policy review and development; data visualization; disaster planning and preparedness; stakeholder engagement; and interfacing with clients. This candidate would support a variety of projects and tasks across climate, energy, environment, and emergency preparedness domains; this may include helping federal agencies mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change, implementing federal priorities aligned to recent environmental legislation, supporting state-level clients with sustainability and clean energy efforts, and conducting crisis simulations and disaster exercises for the public and private sector.
Our ideal team member is a driven, detail-oriented analyst capable of creative problem-solving and working across multiple teams. Potential candidates are not expected to have interest/experience across all of the areas noted above. Rather, ideal candidates will have interest across a subset of the topics and are willing to learn and support projects across the different domains.
Some domestic travel may be required for this position.

Support stakeholder outreach, coordination, and communication; support the development and conduct of multiple types of events, including stakeholder workshops, crisis simulations and exercises, training seminars, and large-scale client meetings; support research, administration, and logistics for events. Collect data and information to prepare reports, assessments, and analytical materials. Use qualitative and quantitative analytic techniques to draw conclusions from data, potentially including quantitative analysis and visualization of large and varied datasets. Conduct research, interviews, and analyses focused on technical, policy, and/or financial implications of climate sustainability, resilience, and preparedness policies under the direction of a project manager and working in collaboration with other team members. Support climate mitigation, adaptation, clean energy, resilience, and/or emergency preparedness efforts of government, private sector, and non-profit clients. Work with clients to perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling, organizing meetings, and taking notes. Write, edit, and proofread documents or sections of documents, such as technical reports. Some domestic travel may be required. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Excellent analytic, communication (oral and written), research, and presentation skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to self-edit and quality-check all work Interest in one or more of the following areas: Client and stakeholder outreach, engagement, and communications Policy analysis, development, assessment, and evaluation Qualitative and quantitative analysis, particularly focused on environmental sciences and information Ability to manage tasks and deadlines across multiple projects Proficiency in relevant software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite Able to pass a U.S. federal government background check and public trust clearance process - requires US Citizenship Desired Qualifications: Data analytics, data visualization, and/or GIS expertise are a plus Additional Information: Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.
The estimated starting salary for this position is $52,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
Full vaccination against COVID-19, and compliance with Cadmus' vaccination verification procedures, is a condition of employment with Cadmus, unless the individual is legally entitled to a reasonable accommodation. Prospective and/or new U.S. employees will be required to submit proof of vaccination on their first day of employment.
