Job summary
Provides assistive patient care in the Operating Room under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.Assists with patient care.Observes patient and alerts RN to symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient's condition.

Responsibilities
• Assists with the surgical process.• Performs basic scrub duties and table set-ups for basic procedures.• Collaborates with co-workers to accomplish department/program objectives.• Contributes to unit operations.• Demonstrates professional accountability.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology or equivalent military training with surgical technologist experience.• 1 year or less in Surgical Technology field.• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or Certification eligible.• Must successfully sit and pass Certification examination within 12 months from employment hire/start date.• A Surgical Technologist hired prior to 12/31/2017 will have the certification requirement waived and be grandfathered.• If the CST credential was held on 12/31/17, employee must maintain CST credential without lapse.
