Lewisville, TexasSurface Mount Assembly (SMA) Team LeadAbout this opportunityTo scale our operations and meet the demands of our customers, the Ericsson US 5G Smart Factory is hiring additional Team Leads for our Surface Mount Assembly (SMA) Lines. The SMA Team Lead will motivate their team, drive production, be organized, and promote safety to produce some of the most sophisticated circuit boards on the planet. These boards will then be used in the equipment that makes the 5G connection on your phone possible. The chosen candidate must be comfortable with both high volume production and new product introduction.What you will doDrive ProductionDevelop understanding of and ability to complete daily and weekly production plan to achieve output goalsEnsure operator adherence to working times, quality standards, and work instructions for both assembly- and test-related operationsUnderstand assembly operations and processes to enable proper assignment of resources and troubleshooting of line-level issuesInitiate daily production in collaboration with Supervisor including actions such as dispatching production orders and ordering componentsCreate accurate end-of-shift report for Production management and Leadership TeamDeliver clear, transparent, and engaging readout of production status on daily callCommunicate cross-functionally and raise issues through proper channels including leaders through Production and Warehouse, Maintenance and Engineering, and QualityProvide Leadership on the LineMentor and motivate members of the teamResolve low-level conflicts between operators within your lineDocument feedback on operator performance in provided toolsSupport Technical Trainers in guiding new employees to have a positive onboarding experienceAct as backup for Supervisors when they are off the production floorApply 5S MethodologyAdvocate for Production's system needs and priorities both locally and globallyParticipate in meetings and forums locally and globally to provide analysis and input and to ensure alignment on proposed improvements and changesWork with Local Process Architects (LPAs) and Global Process Architects (GPAs) to remain informed about upcoming changes and distribute this information internally as necessaryPromote, understand, and strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines without deviationPromote SafetyEncourage safe working practices and enforce safety procedures and use of PPEIdentify and raise safety issues and incidents to Supervisors in a timely mannerFunction as point person during emergency eventsUnderstand vital processes for handling workplace injury on factory floorLead twice daily stretchesPromote, understand, and strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines without deviation.You will bringEssential QualificationsHigh School DiplomaHigh level of interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to lead, coach, and motivate othersProactive spirit; fast learnerCommitment to providing high-quality workIdeal QualificationsExperience in a SMT/SMA production environmentPrevious leadership and/or people management experienceRelevant technical education and computer literacyFamiliarity with Electrostatic Discharge precautionsAbility to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when requiredThis role reports to the SMA SupervisorWhy join Ericsson?At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
