Under the direction of the Chief of Police, the Support Services Manager supervises all of the full and part-time Public Safety Desk Workers.
Essential Functions
Oversee interviewing, hiring, training and on-site supervising of full and part-time staff and their security functions and duties.
Direct supervision of full-time and part-time desk supervisors
Direct supervision of student desk workers
Coordinate support services staff schedules; maintaining adequate coverage using part-time and full-time.
Creating staff schedules
Manage time cards for direct reports
Oversee guest management for all campus operations.
This includes monitoring and audit the campus fob and key access
Maintain administrative responsibilities for the security desks, including annual budget, maintenance, and supplies.
Continuing training and development of staff in accordance with department policies.
Creating and maintaining policies specific to desks and guest management.
Perform related and special duties as assigned by the Department Manager and cross training to serve as a backup for other department administrators.
Minimum Requirements
A college degree or two years of job related experience
A valid driver's license and responsible driving record
21 years of age
No felony convictions; must pass a thorough background check including fingerprinting
Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
Physically fit
Management or Supervisory experience
Police or Military experience
Be able to control a police, medical and fire related scene
