The Supply Chain Specialist will lead the efforts in exploring, initiating, developing, and validating opportunities in cost saving, supply chain risk mitigation, quality improvements and other supply chain related opportunities. The individual in this role will act as both the business and the technical interface between suppliers and development/manufacturing engineers to optimize the supply chain.
Supply Chain Specialist Responsibilities:
Participate in the management of suppliers. Develop and help suppliers meet the company's quality requirements
Work on sourcing projects to improve pricing, delivery, quality, and design
Perform the Request-For-Quotation (RFQ) process, analyze Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), obtain cost breakdowns, and perform analysis.
Develop negotiation strategies and conduct supplier negotiations.
Conduct product sample inspection to ensure quality.
Place, track, and expedite purchase orders (PO).
Supply Chain Specialist Requirements:
Supply chain/supplier sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of manufacturing processes
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline
