The Role Join our team at Xos, a force in the Commercial Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing sector, as we seek a Procurement Intern to join and support our dynamic Supply Chain team! As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and play a vital part in our procurement operations, contributing to the acquisition of essential components and materials crucial to production. Under the supervision of our Supply Chain leadership, this internship is an anticipated 3-4 month internship, with opportunity for extension.
This is an on-site based internship at our Byrdstown, TN Manufacturing Plant. Responsibilities Opportunity to learn and assist the procurement team in sourcing activities, including identifying potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, and evaluating supplier capabilities Visibility and opportunity to support negotiations of contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address procurement needs and requirements effectively Help maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation Aid in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries Contribute to ongoing supplier relationship management and performance evaluation Participate in process improvement initiatives within the purchasing function Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with organizational goals Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and supplier dynamics relevant to EV manufacturing Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Recent graduates will be considered and welcome to apply!
