Supply Chain Buyer Summary
The Supply Chain Buyer will be responsible for issuing, tracking, and managing direct and indirect purchase orders to align with system loaded demand.
Responsibilities Track and monitor inventory, contract expiration, obsolescence, new, and current inventory. Maintain MRP database information. Monitor, document, and communicate supplier performance in the areas of quality, delivery, and cost. Collaborate with Product Development, Demand Planning, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction. Solicit quotes for product development. Drive improvement projects and ideas to continue to eliminate waste throughout the supply chain. Negotiate year-over-year cost savings. Develop creative and innovative solutions. Requirements 2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain management, and forecasting. Oracle Supply Chain module experience including Materials Resource Planning (MRP). Advanced Excel experience. Competency with word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet software, and sales order processing/inventory/MRP/purchase order processing software, as well as a good understanding of accounting systems.
This is a 6-Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity with our Leawood, KS client.
