Trisian-Global Consulting is recruiting a Supervisor, Payroll Systems to oversee technological improvements related to the HRIS/Payroll System and supervise the multi-site processing of exempt employee payroll. This is a full time permanent position working on-site in the Memphis area and requires strong technical, analytical and hands-on payroll skills related to HRIS. Responsibilities: Consults with HR managers and other departments to determine HRIS needs. Translates business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement technology solutions that help to streamline and automate HR processes. Serves as system administrator for HR systems and applications in the absence of the HRIS Analyst Work with HR, Finance, IT to maintain and improve the system, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency. Implements process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system. Evaluates HR systems to identify points of improvement Perform system testing to ensure patches, upgrades and updates do not impact functionality and accuracy of payroll.
Serves as point of contact for questions regarding Payroll. Go-to subject matter expert for the system (Kronos/UKG). Will serve as the lead on Payroll projects and participate in planning meetings concerning payroll and the HRIS systems. Update payroll procedures and assist in the training of both internal and external personnel. Support end users regarding system problems, requests, issue resolution, facilitating process improvements. Understand SOX's internal control processes and ensure that all controls are adhered to. Oversee quarterly and year-end processing and tax filings. Apply for new state and SUI accounts and work with the vendor to ensure that the setup is correct for payment of the taxes. Provides backup to Manager HRIS/Payroll. Process payroll during short pay cycles and in absence of the Payroll Specialist. Run and review audit reports to ensure accuracy of payroll data. Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in Payroll with supervisory/lead exposure. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Project Management experience specifically related to HRIS/Payroll Systems. in-depth knowledge of Payroll tax processes and laws. Experience working in an agile delivery environment. Experience with SOX's internal control processes. Experience with Kronos/UKG software or other Payroll applications. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), and PowerPoint Exceptional interpersonal communication, collaborative, and customer-service skills Ability to effectively multi-task, demonstrate organizational skills and maintain a high level of attention to detail Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using expertise, creativity and sound judgment CPP Certification is a plus Ability to maintain confidentiality
