We are seeking a

Supervisor, Laboratory Operations

to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA's laboratory business at our state-of-the-art facility in

Durham, NC .

As a Laboratory Manager, you will oversee a team of professionals and manage the operations of our cell-based assays for vaccine clinical studies ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

What you'll be doing:

Sample and reagent inventory tracking once items are received by the lab (requires collaboration with SM)
Overseeing staging of samples and/or reagents for assay analysts
Overseeing general reagent preps and aliquoting (i.e. buffers)
General lab maintenance overseeing at least 3 laboratories in a regulatory environment with over 100 scientist
Equipment maintenance at least 3 laboratories in a regulatory environment
Equipment PM, PQ, calibration tracking (requires collaboration with Metrology)
Consumable tracking, stocking for general lab operations and equipment within 3 laboratories at Durham site
Manage a team of 5 reports ranging from entry to mid level scientist
Ensure all documentation is in compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines following GLP guidelines
Identify abnormal groups of test procedures, potential GLP failures or other unusual results.
Oversee the functioning of subject-specific SOPs within the group.
Demonstrate technical ability to support departmental projects including validation studies.
Provide advanced consultation for technology assessments and equipment validation in a regulatory environment
Identify and lead continuous process improvement initiatives for laboratory operations.
Present findings to a wide variety of audiences internal and external to Q² Solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field paired with minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Demonstrated subject matter in operations and regulatory .
Demonstrated managerial experience required.
Preferred experience with PCR, Ligand Binding, ELISA and Cell based assays or cell lines.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

Ability to lift to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills project management skills.
Demonstrates ambition skills attention problem-solving abilities.
Ability maintains accurate records.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $75,400.00 - $113,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
