Full job description Hiring a superintendent for a major excavation company based in New Haven County. This firm is recognized as the premier provider of commercial services and residential site development, concrete foundation construction, and demolition. Description: Position requires experience and ability to read and evaluate typical construction schedules. Applicant will need to be capable of foreseeing schedule and/or personnel conflicts and evaluate all options and implement solutions while considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. The applicant will be required to motivate, develop, and direct personnel as they work, and identify the best people for particular tasks. Strong organizational skills will be required to coordinate, supervise, manage personnel and equipment to accomplish tasks and maintain schedules. Full completion of daily project activity reports will be required. Scheduling the delivery, monitoring and controlling related materials will be required. It will be required that the applicant develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time. Applicant will be required to provide relevant information to all supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates. Must Haves: 1. 7+ years working as Superintendent.
2. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations etc.
3. Experience managing sub-contractors and delivery scheduling.
