If you cannot attend the trainings listed below, we will unfortunately not be able to employ you at the YMCA this summer. At the Y, we believe that training is an essential component of running a safe and engaging youth development program. Upon hire, the YMCA provides all youth development staff with paid trainings throughout the season in the following areas: child abuse prevention, mandated reporting, positive discipline and child guidance, supervision and safety, risk management, programming, active shooter, diversity & inclusion, anti-bullying, communication and child development.
