What your role entails and how you'll contribute: At Halls Kansas City, the Style Expert is instrumental in creating the best customer experience Halls can offer. By demonstrating a thorough knowledge of store merchandise as well as current fashion trends, the Style Expert guides customers in expressing their individual tastes, style and personality with high end clothing, accessories, and home décor. This position is responsible for meeting sales goals as assigned by Department Managers. Style Experts are commissioned-based and grow their personal business and generate sales by cultivating customer relationships, maintaining an up-to-date clientele log, and notifying customers of upcoming events and promotions through phone calls and email.
As of May 28, store temporary hours are Mon-Sat 10am - 6pm; Sun 12pm - 5pm. Store basic hours at a date yet to be determined will be Mon-Sat, 10am - 7pm; Sun 12pm - 6pm. Hours for the Style Experts will vary within these timeframes, but do include holidays, weekends and evenings (during Holiday season till 9:00 p.m.)

What we do and how we do it: Crown Center, one of the nation's first mixed-use redevelopments, is an 85-acre complex that welcomes more than five million visitors each year. A subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Crown Center is a 'city within a city' - combining hotel, office, retail, residential and entertainment land uses within its boundaries.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Style Experts own each customer experience from beginning to end by accurately preparing and ringing sales, packaging carry out merchandise appropriately, placing special orders, contacting the Alterations department when necessary, facilitating the gift wrap and shipping processes as needed, and following up on all merchandise requiring special handling. This position also assists in maintaining the function and visual presentation of the sales floor by dusting and straightening displays, restocking merchandise as needed, and replenishing cash wrap supplies such as bags, tissue paper and receipt paper. This job requires standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and pulling/pushing carts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The following is required to be considered for this role: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent At least six months of sales experience in a department store setting, or six months professional customer contact (i.e. public relations, customer service, high volume receptionist) Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Your application will stand out if you have: Experience selling apparel in a department store environment Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal Superior customer service & teamwork skills - have a great attitude and are a team player Good math and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and professional disposition Comfortable taking initiative and driving your own business Great relationship builder ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This position is located at the Hall's retail department store located at the Crown Center Shops.
