Company Name: Hopkins Job Description SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Director of Special Services and the State and Federal Programs Principal on Special Assignment, the Student Wellness Coordinator works with students, administrators, staff, and community partners to identify and implement wellness supports and resources for Hopkins scholars and community members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. Promote District wellness programs, including Student Wellness Centers, counseling services, and community-based mental health programs, to scholars and the community. Establish district-wide restorative culture standards, including training and job expectations for Restorative Practitioners. Develop tracking and accountability systems to review school progress and support improvement. Support implementation of classroom and school restorative culture profiles to aid teacher, school, and district growth in Restorative Practices. Support administrators in ensuring implementation within their buildings. Lead regular meetings with building-level Restorative Practitioners, school social workers, and other student support staff.. Serve as a liaison between Hopkins staff and contracted restorative organizations. Provide regular communication (via email, newsletters, videos, etc.) to District staff informing them about available wellness resources, restorative practices, and mental health supports for students and the community. Oversee the development and maintenance of the District's wellness/restorative practices web pages. Analyze data from student and community evaluations to improve programs and make recommendations. Collaborate with Community partners, Special Education leadership, building staff, administrators, McKinney Vento staff, and families to develop programs supporting the social and emotional learning (SEL) needs of E-12 scholars. Offer assistance in problem-solving with district staff regarding the mental health, wellness, and restorative needs of scholars. Stay updated on developments, trends, and research relevant to restorative culture, wellness, SEL, and mental health. Coordinate the Local Collaborative Time Study program, including collaborating with Time Study staff, monitoring and preparing budgets, completing required state reports, and working with the LCTS planning team to allocate funds. Partner with other community, school, health, or human service agencies to provide services for scholars and staff. Write and submit grant requests aligned with mental health and restorative supports, and ensure successful evaluation of grants that supplement and enhance activities supporting the mission of Hopkins Public Schools. Serve as the McKinney Vento liaison as directed by the Principal on Special Assignment. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by Special Services Administration or the Principal on Special Assignment. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: College degree.  3-5 years of experience in social work, public health, restorative practices or health related fields. Background in Education desired. Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. Driver's license. Required Knowledge and Skills: Required Knowledge: Demonstrated skills in grant writing. Meeting and group facilitation skills. Required Skills: Work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and generations.  Ability to reason and exercise good judgment. Ability to apply problem solving skills in handling sensitive issues related to health and wellness. Excellent interpersonal skills. Competence in working with racially, ethnically, economically, and culturally diverse communities. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Mobility to work in school settings, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting at Eisenhower Community Center, and may include other locations in the community, including school buildings, homeless shelters, private residences, outdoors, and other community buildings. Travel required to locations throughout the District. Able to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Schedule and Compensation: 40 hours weekly, 1.0 FTE ?$58,783 - $86,503 depending on experience.
