Responsibilities
• Designs and modifies tools/fixtures to aid in the assembly of the vehicle, adhering to company standards• Obtains quotes from and interfaces with tooling manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery• Coordinates the modification and distribution of the structural aspects of the assembly buildings• Coordinates / plans all structure refurbishments / modifications to facility as required• Develops and maintains a working relationship with contractors, facilities engineering central planning• Oversees visiting contractors on site and advises on civil engineering issues• Ensures that assembly remains in line with all code issues• Evaluates and reports on the impact of model allocation on the assembly structure• Establishes and maintains standards & specifications• Coordinates technical and feasibility studies and site investigations with Facilities Group
Requirements
• BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or the equivalent of four (4) years' related engineering experience• Two (2) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred), to include one (1) year project management experience• One (1) years' experience of strategic thinking skills• One (1) years' experience engineering/project management/problem resolution skills• One (1) years' knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes• One (1) year demonstrating management skills• One (1) year demonstrating communication skills• One (1) year demonstrating team-building skills• One (1) year demonstrating computer skills (MS Office applications)• One (1) year demonstrating MicroStation skills (Optional)
