This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This role involves analyzing, designing, planning, and researching structural components and structural systems to achieve design goals and ensure the safety and comfort of users or occupants. Our ideal candidate should be proficient in designing structures that can withstand stresses and pressures imposed through human use and environmental conditions.
Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.
Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses.
Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.
Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.
Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.
Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
Administer contracts and manage projects.
Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Proven working experience as a Structural Engineer.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
In-depth knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro).
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
Hands-on experience with structural analysis, design, and detailing of building systems.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team.
Good communication skills to liaise with various professionals.
